Fr. Casey Cole, O.F.M., is an American Franciscan friar, Catholic priest, writer, and blogger. Cole runs his own online blog and YouTube channel called Breaking in the Habit and is the author of the books Let Go: Seven Stumbling Blocks to Christian Discipleship and Called: What Happens After Saying Yes to God.

Welcome Back to Mass at St Stephens!
If you have been away for a while, we want to extend a big invitation to you to join us in person for Mass! You will certainly note some changes to how things happen at Saturday Vigil and Sunday Masses. Following the Archdiocese recent guidelines, we are making the following changes:
- Registration is no longer required to attend Mass!
- Seating will be first come, first served.
- Seating capacity is limited. Overflow to the Underground Church will take place at the 8:30 and 11:00 AM Masses.
- Everyone is encouraged to wear a mask.
- There will be separate sections for distanced and no-distanced seating.
These guidelines could be relaxed in the future, stayed tuned for more updates.
Tips for the best Mass experience:
- There is no Underground Mass for Saturday Vigil, so please arrive early as capacity is limited.
- Sunday 8:30 am and 11:00 am the Underground Church in the Hall is available for Mass via Video with Communion served, if you prefer or if upstairs is full.
- Sunday 8:30 am Mass usually has more seating available.
- If you require seating assistance please arrive 15-20 minutes early.
- Patience is a virtue, (and a blessing)!

Family Fun in the Sun July 25
Enjoy fun activities as a family, make new friends and maybe even challenge Fr. Ed or our resident seminarian to a 'friendly' game following the 11:00am mass this Sunday, July 25th. Bring a picnic lunch and blanket if you like! Games include Croquet, Spike Ball, Ultimate Disc Game, Badminton, Lawn Darts, Bean Bag Toss and Bocce Ball. Join us on the lawns behind and to the right of the Marian Grotto. All are most welcome!
Respect Life
Dear Parish family and friends. The month of July is upon us, which means it’s time for our Respect Life Ministry to join with our Knights of Columbus council in supporting 4US (For Ultra Sound). 4US is a local respect life charity, who have over the years, with our help, furnished ultrasound machines to pregnancy centers here in Washington and across the US.
The 4US mission is to illuminate hope for pregnant women in crisis through the power of ultrasound. Remember, 96% of women viewing their baby on ultrasound, opt to keep the baby. A powerful way they can do that is with help from our parish family and the Knights of Columbus. Want to watch yesterday's Mass? In our new Vimeo player the liturgy won't be interrupted with commercials! Still a big Facebook or Youtube fan? No worries; our liturgies will continue to be simulcast to those platforms as well.
Little Saints Preschool
Although it has been a challenging year for all of us in many ways, we have been blessed to be open this year. Our parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles have been AMAZING as they adapted schedules and made sure their children arrived ready to go each day. THANK YOU!
